Oh Boy

Stampead Oh Boy歌詞
1.Oh Boy

There's an old saying, I forgot what it was,
but it will lift you up when you need it most,
…oh yeah.

I woke today the sky was blue,
bluer than it ever was,
…than it ever was now.

I wish the DJ had something to say,
but it's the same old shit he always plays,
…and I sing along.

And you say,
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy

I heard a gunshot on Fountain and Vine,
first I ran and then I smiled.
…it's gonna be alright.

And I had a smoke and I walked around,
watched the hookers strut up and down and say,
…I got what you need.

And they say
Oh boy, oh boy
Won't you do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Won't you do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Won't you do it again
Oh boy, oh boy

Sometimes the night it lasts too long,
at the kitchen table going strong saying, Hey Jim,
…can I burrow twenty dollars?

I looked right up at the sky,
seems it's raining on me.
…and it feels good.

And you say
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy
Let me do it again
Oh boy, oh boy

2.Sweet Nicole

Everyday I wake up with my head in the ground,
and I don't have the strength to look around.
Promises, oh promises they're all that I hear,
but the chance of one breaking has got me living in fear.

I've been walking like a monk with my feet dragging behind,
and I can't seem to shake this one from my mind.
You can blame it on your daddy, blame it on what you need.
Take it out on yourself and everybody you see.
But I'll still say,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Sweet Nicole.

There's times I can't find reason to live another day,
and there's times I sit and wonder if maybe we could find a way.
But times are for passing so don't call me dear,
and if you see me on the street just be aware,
that I'll still say,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Sweet Nicole.

I know you cut and cry, but there's nothing I can do.
I wish you the best, and I know you'll find it too.
But you see what I'm saying, when I say that I say,
if heaven could help us then maybe I would pray.
But your promises they don't mean that much to me,
so I still say,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Sweet Nicole.
Sweeter than you'll ever know

3.My Widow

Love songs only bring me down.
As depressing as her wedding gown.
Folded in the corner, with a locket that he bought her,
it feels like he's still around.
If the sky isn't blue, I never know what to do,
I always feel the need to leave town.
This years been tough, here in Cedar Neck Bluff,
my front door has got 3 chains.
I worry about this, and I worry about that,
I never get to sing in the rain.
But there's always one,
bullet left in the gun.
Oh yes, there's always one.

The fortune-teller she was right.
How I wish my heart could change.
It makes me shiver in the night, like a mouse in a fight,
I'm better off trying to love the pain.
So I run up my card, until I fall off the bar,
and my girlfriend starts to feel ashamed.
It ain't right but in the night, while she sleeps she likes to
fight,
and I wake up all black and blue.
She says to tie her up, I say don't worry love,
I was born restless too.
And there's always one,
bullet left in the gun.
Oh yes, there's always one,
bullet left in the gun.
Oh yes, there's always one.

I'm sorry to say, that I'm no help.
I'm sorry to say, he is gone.
I'm sorry to say, you've lost me too.

Now she's getting ready to go.
Holding a letter and a long stem rose.
I zip her dress in the back, as she paints her eyes black,
wipes the lipstick from her teeth real slow.
She always comes back a mess, with mascara on her dress,
and all the grace of a new widow.
If I give a little, give a little, give a little more,
can I ever make her feel the same?
She worries about this, and she worries about that,
before the war she used to sing in the rain.
But there's always one,
bullet left in the gun.
Oh yes, there's always one,
bullet left in the gun.
Oh yes, there's always one

4.Red,Green,Yellow

I've got a garden out back with plenty of sun,
but nothing ever seems to grow.
There's a rabbit and a squirrel who have never been friends,
but they still stop and say hello.

Using my shirt for a basket I stole 25 lemons,
from my next door neighbors tree.
I told my boss I need a few days off,
I've got a family emergency.

Found a spot in the shade, had a glass of lemonade,
and I wished that you'd come by.
But you never ever do, so I went inside,
and laid down to get high.

Here I go.
Red, green, yellow.
Uh oh no.
Tick tock, click bang.
Around the sun, again,
tweedle dee, tweedle dum.
Tap tap, clang, hush,
Tick tick, boom,
my broken heart.

There's a war in the garden and my heart still says,
the weeds will always win.
They spend their lives beating their wives,
they barely feed their children.

If you go by the book, there's a recipe to cook,
a dish plentiful of playful sin.
A spot in the shade, and a glass of lemonade,
that tastes better when it's stolen.

I have nothing in common with the common man,
I lost touch when I lost you.
I sleep to escape each and everyday,
I've got nothing to look forward to.

Here I go.
Red, green, yellow.
Uh oh no.
Tick tock, click bang.
Around the sun, again,
tweedle dee, tweedle dum.
Tap tap, clang, hush,
tick tick, boom,
my broken heart.

I was outside late last night,
I set my backyard, I set it on fire.
My neighbor was screaming, but I had a warm feeling,
like it was the fourth, the 4th of July.

If I saw her today, I wouldn't know what to say,
I'm sure she wouldn't waste her breath.
I'd probably tell her, that I'm doing much better,
and that she scares me half to death.

But neither are true, and I want to tell you,
I burned our garden down.
Nothing would grow, since you left me
I wish you were still around.

Here I go.
Red, green, yellow.
Uh oh no.
Tick tock, click bang.
Around the sun, again,
tweedle dee, tweedle dum.
Tap tap, clang, hush,
tick tick, boom,
my broken heart

5.Don't Tease The Lion

It's a crying shame how I carry myself,
It's a crying, crying shame.
It's a God damn miracle my heart still pumps,
trying to float, with a ball and chain.
So I drown, I cough, my oxygen's cut off.
I think of all, the good, I'd do if I could.
But I can't go on…

It's a joke in the ballroom when the lights go out.
It's a laugh, for the king and queen.
It's a stranger's touch to make you feel safe,
for your life, you held on to me.
And we loved, like lovers, never knowing each other.
Until the lights, turned on, and what I thought was wrong.
Because I can't go on…
If Abbey won't hold me tight.

Don't tease the lion.
For God's sake it,
won't give up trying,
until your naked.

I believe, I believe, I believe,
there's a reason to run, a reason to give in.
I believe, I believe, I believe,
you can give to me, what you give to him.

It's seven empty acres to harvest your dreams,
seven acres where the sun won't shine.
It's the grass that grows and it brushes your feet,
growing taller all the time.
I lose track, of my mind, while my body falls behind.
Reminding me, of when, a rooster chased the hen.
But I can't go on…
If Abbey won't hold me tight.

Don't tease the lion.
For God's sake it,
won't give up trying,
until your naked.

I believe, I believe, I believe,
there's a reason to run, a reason to give in.
I believe, I believe, I believe,
you can give to me, what you give to him.

It's my five-dollar tie and my funeral shoes,
I put them on, to make me feel alive.
It's an easier day when you look like a fool,
there's nothing from this world left to hide.
So I speak, my mind, get punched and they spit in my eye.
I remember when, she'd say, tomorrows another day.
But I can't go on…

6.A Clown Too Fat To Walk Across A Wire

Try to drive on the highway with your eyes closed.
Try to go to church with something exposed.
Try to make a joke when you're on your knees.
Try to fall in love without saying please.

Try to make a million bucks with only your smile.
Try not to act like an only child.
Try to call the president, once a day.
Try to think before you die the last words you'll say.

My friend, are these the first steps to the end,
my friend, are these the first steps to the end,
of a clown too fat to walk across a wire?

Try to take all your memories, put 'em in a box.
Try to walk thru the city wearing only your socks.
Try not to think about what they're gonna say.
Try to make a difference every single day.

Try to get drunk with just three bucks.
Try not to think about who your ex fucks.
Try and realize you only have a few friends.
Try to tell a cop, that it won't happen again.

My friend, are these the first steps to the end,
my friend, are these the first steps to the end,
of a clown too fat to walk across a wire?

Try to be hated for just one night.
Try not to remember that your mothers always right.
Try to get rich by the time your 30.
Try to be quiet when your fighting dirty.

Try to take a joke a bit too far.
Try to walk away without a scar.
Try and pick a fight with someone you love.
Act like a clown when the going gets tough.

My friend, are these the first steps to the end,
my friend, are these the first steps to the end,
of a clown too fat to walk across a wire?
My friend, are these the first steps to the end,
of me?

7.The Dog Song

I found a shelter and garden,
on the corner of Fountain and Vine.
It's made for gamblers who lose,
a place for brave men to whine.
Every so often there's trouble,
somebody could lose a life.
I just sit on the back porch,
and eat apples with my knife.
Isabella comes to visit,
she can talk all day and night.
Cursing the republican government,
I can't say if she's wrong or right.
I said I admired her hatred,
I'm not one to take sides.
She kissed me and tried to persuade me,
so I had no choice, I had to lie.

In the morning she left me a letter,
I couldn't make out a single word.
I'm sure it was something outrageous,
about her trying to save the world.
It was then that I got so depressed,
in this world I make no difference.
I just hang out with thieves,
spitting apple seeds at the fence.
So I picked up the LA Times,
and read to page 22.
It was there that I found my purpose,
to help dogs from being abused.
I began to tell all my friends,
about these dogs in need.
I said, 「Did you know in some parts of China,
all the dogs have fleas?」

They said I was crazy,
laughed and shook their heads.
Said maybe I would have found Jesus,
in another girl's bed.
But I was off to the white house,
with 6 greyhounds and a sign.
Practiced my speech to the president,
I memorized every line.
After a few days I made friends,
to help me with my cause.
We even made the local news,
chanting, Lets save the dogs!

It brought a tear to my eye,
they understood what I had to say.
And just like Isabella,
I was talking all night and day.
I was talking at the racetrack.
I was talking on the radio.
I was talking at the cathedral,
and at the pound with my megaphone
And then one sunny morning,
preaching at the dog parade.
I had a crowd of 2,000,
hanging on every word I'd say.
I swore I'd see them through.
We'd fight until the end.
When a bulldog barked right at me,
and tore up my left hand.
As the blood ran down my arm,
from my elbow to the floor,
I knew I'd lose my temper.
I couldn't take anymore.
I screamed, That's it, I give up!
These dogs don't give a damn!
They all called me a traitor,
said, Go back to from where you came!

So that's just what I did,
and they welcomed me with open arms.
And the freshest basket of apples,
straight from Cortez farms.
I told Isabella my story.
I thought she'd understand.
But she called me a failure,
and knocked the fruit from my hands.
I guess maybe she was right.
I was just a phony from the start.
But these apples never tasted sweeter,
and I know who my real friends are

8.The Bastards of Eden

We are the bastards of Eden,
or so it seems.
Another orphan dreaming,
of what they can bring.

Would you care for a pipe?
Can I get you a drink?
Would you care for a woman?
She might help you think.

We are the ones they pray for,
So I was told.
Another Sunday wasted,
Another story told.

Would you care for another whiskey?
I'll have one too.
Would you care for a woman,
who never cared for you?

You can take my hand,
put it over your heart.
You can take my soul,
we'll make a new start.

You can trust my friend,
you won't be alone.
We are the bastards of Eden,
and we'll make a new home.

We are what's left of Eden.
I guess it's true.
This world feels so small,
when you're feeling blue.

I need a second chance,
to set things right.
I don't need an army.
No, I don't want to fight.

You can take my hand,
put it over your heart.
You can take my soul,
we'll make a new start.

You can trust my friend,
you won't be alone.
We are the bastards of Eden,
and we'll make a new home.
We'll make a new home
We are the Bastards of Eden
We are the Bastards of Eden
We are the Bastards of Eden
We are the Bastards of Eden
We are the Bastards of Eden
We are the Bastards of Eden

9.You Can Use Me

Take off your gown if you want.
I'm here for you. Don't be shy.
We've both been used before,
my heart doesn't care.

Undo my belt if you want.
No reason to whisper… tonight.
My tongue doesn't care,
to be clever no more.

You can use me darling.
You can use me tonight.
You can hurt me or love me.
Call me what you like.

Pull my hair, hold me close.
Tell me what you need the most.
You can use me darling.
You can use me tonight.

Swing your hair for me girl.
Tell me lies. I don't care.
I can play the fool,
if it feels better to you.

I want you on the kitchen table.
With a smile that comes, when you're alone.
It's all we have,
to remember we're alive.

You can use me darling.
You can use me tonight.
You can hurt me or love me.
Call me what you like.

Pull my hair, hold me close.
Tell me what you need the most.
You can use me darling.
You can use me tonight…

10.Funeral Train

Waiting around,
for a funeral train in Chester,
and I don't feel it's coming round.

I heard my mother,
crying in the kitchen,
doing her best not to make a sound.

And I could lay on the rails or set my sails,
or clench my fists again,
maybe put my guns away.

Remembering you and what you wanted.
All that we stood for.
How can I walk away?

From these, home dreams,
and half broken bridges,
that you wouldn't dare to burn down.

And it's, old friends,
who tell you you're not alone,
and then they never come around.

I know now that I can't win,
when there's nothing left to lose.
It's only revenge.

And Lord, we've tried and tried,
but the future died for me,
in a hotel in LA.

Someday, one day, can't catch a break.
Spend half my life on a line in a factory.
Waiting for some fresh air.

In these, home dreams,
and half broken bridges,
that you wouldn't dare to burn down.

And it's, old friends,
who tell you you're not alone,
and then they never come around.

I stood with my neighborhood.
Lined along the tracks,
on the saddest day.

I heard my mother,
crying in the kitchen,
and I put my guns away.

I can see,
if you show me,
right from wrong.

All I need,
yes all I need,
is a friend to say that it's alright

I can see,
if you show me,
right from wrong.

All I need,
yes all I need,
is a friend to say that it's alright

I can see,
if you show me,
right from wrong.

All I need,
yes all I need,
is a friend to say that it's alright

11.Rain On Your Rooftop

I want to be,
the rain on your rooftop.
I want to be,
the face you know best.

And when your lying in my arms naked,
I want you, I want you laughing at me.
We can picture ourselves when we're old,
and wrinkled.

Oh, my love.
Tie me up dear.
My love,
sleep upside down for me.

I want to be,
the pet you never had.
I want to be,
your only true friend.

And if I get too sad, you can leave me.
And if you go crazy, I just might go.
And if we jump off the tallest building,
there'll be no pain.

Oh, my love.
Don't lose your temper dear.
My love,
I'm pathetic, you see.
Oh, my love, my love, my love.

Won't you let it, let it, let it, let it all come down.
Won't you let it, let it, let it, let it all come down.
Won't you let it, let it, let it, let it, let it, let it,
let it all come down again.

I want to be,
in a plot down beside you.
I want to be,
dead in your arms.

But until then, I got time,
to memorize every crease in your face.
We can listen to the rain on your rooftop,
and never sleep.

Oh, my love
Don't get dressed yet dear.
My love,
a storm's on the way.
Oh, my love, my love, my love.
Oh, my love, my love, my love.

12.Alabama

It's my first time in Alabama,
and I'm peeing off a bridge.
I've got a smile on my face,
and I've been drinking like a fish.

These days I don't shut up.
I eat, drink, and smoke,
until my bones fall down.
I talk 『til I regret it,
and I laugh like a clown.

If there's a reason for the wind to blow,
then throw a penny down a well.
If all your seeds never see the sun,
you can spit on the ground, and damn it to hell.

Then you piss off a bridge with a smile on your face,
and say isn't this world such a beautiful place.
Isn't this world such a beautiful place...

Isn't this world such a beautiful place...
Isn't this world such a beautiful place...
Isn't this world such a beautiful place...
Isn't this world such a beautiful place...
Isn't this world such a beautiful place...
